Michael Owen: Kevin de Bruyne is better than Scholes, Giggs, and Beckham

Premier League legend Michael Owen has claimed that Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is a better all-round midfielder when compared with former Manchester United favourites Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham. The Belgium international has shown exceptional vision through his passing over the course of the campaign, and this has pulled City clear at the top of the Premier League standings, while they are still in the running to win a quadruple.

In a report covered by The Mirror, Owen said: "De Bruyne, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham would be my order. Beckham was a pure striker of the ball. He obviously mastered a great whip on his dead balls, but he had that long range fizz as well.

Brand Beckham’s Net Worth Does Not Worry Me

Former Manchester United and LA Galaxy star David Beckham claims that he is not aware of his financial worth, even though it might very easily exceed £ 100 million when his wife’s business is also taken into account. ‘Brand Beckham’ has been a major name in the world of fashion and sports. David Beckham has been able to amass a huge amount of fortune while playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, PSG, and LA Galaxy. He also has a huge amount of sponsorship deals lined up even now – a couple of years after his retirement.

The fortune of Beckham’s increased substantially when his wife’s clothing empire is also taken into account. The fashion empire alone is worth around £ 100 million and the 42-year-old claims that he did not have a clue about this information until now. Almost 2 decades ago, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson frowned upon Beckham’s relationship with Victoria Beckham. This later led into a successful marriage, which has also been quite beneficial for both partners on a business scale. Beckham says that he will not be ready to put a price on the success that he has amassed in his career as a player and also as part of Brand Beckham.

Mourinho criticises Manchester United supporters

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly turned on the club's supporters, who were displeased with the substitution of Marcus Rashford against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils were drawing 0-0 versus Spurs in the 70th minute of the game when Mourinho decided to replace Rashford with Anthony Martial.

The substitution did not go well with the club's faithful, who clearly felt that the Englishman had performed much better than Romelu Lukaku, who had no clear-cut chances to find the scoresheet. Ultimately, the manager's risk paid off after Lukaku and Martial combined to score the sole goal of the game, which the latter slotted in the 81st minute.

David Beckham in danger of losing Premier League record to Xherdan Shaqiri

Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri is apparently close to breaking a Premier League feat held by ex-Manchester United midfielder David Beckham.

The former England international shares the record for the most consecutive goals from outside of the box alongside Blackburn Rovers legend Tugay with eight.

Shaqiri is no stranger to weaving his magic from outside the box as he was done several times for Switzerland over the course of his international career. The Swiss managed a stellar long-range finish in Stoke City's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend, and this took his long-range strike tally to six in the top-flight.

David Moyes reveals he wanted to bring Gareth Bale, Cesc Fabregas at Old Trafford

Former Manchester United David Moyes has revealed that he had planned moves for both Gareth Bale and Cesc Fabregas during his sole season in charge at Old Trafford.

The former Evertonian took up the United job in the summer of 2013 after Sir Alex Ferguson called time on his 26-year reign.

The 54-year-old, however, could not make much of his time at United after he was sacked in less than 10 months with the club placed seventh on the Premier League table. Speaking to The Mirror, the Scot admitted that he was at fault for the club's dismal performance, but things could have been different, had he been able to land his prime targets.

Don Garber Praises David Beckham as Ideal Person to Start a MLS Franchise

MLS commissioner Don Garber claims that David Beckham will be able to transform the league when his new franchise team finally comes into play.

Beckham is regarded as one of the iconic players to have represented in the Major League Soccer, which has been around for the last decade. The major boost to the popularity of the competition came when Beckham arrived on a free transfer from Real Madrid in the summer of 2005. Beckham was able to agree a whopping $ 250 million deal with the MLS for playing in this division. His presence boosted the profile of the league, and it also helped Beckham agree the potential option of starting a franchise at a subsidised cost.

YOUNGSTERS TIPPED FOR ENGLAND

Leicester City's summer signing Harry Maguire is hoping to get a call-up with the England national side through his performances in the upcoming campaign. The 24-year-old joined the Foxes from Hull City for £17m earlier in June after turning down the opportunity to join Tottenham Hotspur.

Maguire went through the previous season with Hull City almost unscathed, and this could not prevent the Tigers from beating the drop. The Englishman had the option of staying put for the final year of his Hull contract, but he decided to pursue a fresh challenge in the Premier League in order to encourage his chances of an England call-up.

David Beckham’s Miami Franchise close to acquiring Stadium approval

Former England international David Beckham is on the cusp of obtaining approval for the Major League Soccer expansion club in Miami, league commissioner Don Garber has revealed.

Beckham has openly revealed his plans to bring a franchise in Miami, and his expansion bid is on the agenda at an MLS owners meeting on Wednesday.

The approval is entirely based on a vote which could end a prolonged saga of more than three and a half years during which the 42-year-old has struggled to find a site where he could build up the new stadium whilst also securing land to house the team.

Cicinho explains how befriending David Beckham cost him €25,000

Former GalacticoCicinho has revealed one incident during his time at Real Madrid which cost him a hefty chunk of his wages.

The Brazilian had joined Los Blancos from Sao Paolo back in January 2006, and he had been fond of one particular Madrid legend in David Beckham.

During his first encounter during a team meal, the 37-year-old was seated alongside stalwarts Robert Carlos, Robinho, Zinedine Zidane and Beckham himself. In the excitement, Cicinho accidentally spilled juice on Beckham's leg and suit, but the Englishman stayed calm over the situation.

Manchester United missed out on Ronaldinho because of David Beckham

Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that Manchester United missed out on the signing of Ronaldinho owing to David Beckham’s decision to join arch rivals Real Madrid.

The former England international was initially predicted to join the Catalan giants after they stuck an agreement with the Red Devils to pursue his signature. However, they could not manage to settle a similar deal with Beckham’s representative, and this eventually urged them to sign Ronaldinho instead in 2003.
